Allison Transmission Names Director of Engineering
 
Indianapolis, IN - Allison Transmission Division of General Motors has announced the appointment of James L. Lanzon as Director of Engineering.

Prior to joining Allison Transmission, Lanzon was vice president and director of engineering for New Venture Gear, formerly a joint venture company wholly owned by Daimler-Chrysler and General Motors. Beginning his career with GM in 1968, Lanzon has held a range of engineering positions at GM Powertrain, previously Hydra-Matic Division.

Lanzon has a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University (formerly GMI).

Jims appointment brings a range of experience and capability to Allison Transmission, said Lawrence E. Dewey, President, Allison Transmission. We are delighted to have him on board to lead our engineering team.

Allison Transmission is the worlds leading designer, manufacturer and seller of medium- and heavy-duty automatic transmissions for trucks, buses, off-road and military vehicles and RVs.
