Taking Allison Transmission into the 21st Century

Lawrence E. With roots dating back to the formation of the Indianapolis Speedway Team Company in 1915, we've led the way in developing a range of innovative products that have greatly advanced the state of ground and air mobility.

For more than 50 years, our commercial and military automatic transmission product lines have improved working-vehicle productivity, utility, reliability and safety. Our transmission engineering and marketing pioneers have literally invented the products and the global markets we now serve.

As we enter the 21st century, we know it has been Allison employees, both past and present, who have enabled this fine company to lead the world in the design, manufacture and sale of commercial-duty automatic transmissions.

We have come a long way, and our technological innovations in product design and manufacturing systems continue to keep us ahead of the competition. The employees of Allison Transmission, Inc. have over 600 patents, making the company one of the most prolific patent organizations within the industry.

Looking to the future, Allison Transmission, Inc. will intensify its global presence. Our existing offices and manufacturing facilities in Europe, Brazil, the Far East, and our facilities in Indianapolis, Indiana all speak to a commitment of continued business growth. Our new product line (1000 Series™ and 2000 Series™) is allowing us to enter new and exciting markets.
